HIGH SCHOOL TWINS REUNITED Eileen
Sia-Rogers and
Aurea Sobreo-Dagang who were often mistaken as twin sisters
in high school finally see each other again after 34 yrs. as they
celebrated the Feast Day of St. Anthony on June 13, 2009 with their
high school teachers
Cel Ebilane and Violy Esmele-Ebilane
whom they now fondly call "klassmates". Also present were
fellow Anthonians Noel Dagang and
Galen Paderes.
It was indeed a happy reunion for
all of them reminiscing those good old days of high school life.
Eileen and Aurea
though didn't had communication for 34 yrs ,wasn't surprised to
learn that their plans for retirement were exactly the same like
living in a comfortable native house in the rural area/countryside
of the Philippines, raising animals, planting vegetables in the
yard, having a little fish pond ,etc., after all..they are "twins".
Eileen
said that when she first learned
about the SAHSAA website, she then started showing her old pictures
to her family that are posted in the web and then later realized
that it was actually Aurea who was in the picture
whom she claimed to be her
The 9AM-5PM planned get together
lasted till almost 9:00 PM and seemed like no one would let go of
each other. Cel Ebilane and wife
Violy Esmele Ebilane wish to see more
of the people who almost grew up before their eyes in the future.
The group decided that this is just the beginning of more and more
memorable reunions to come. They talked of so many plans in the
future.
.
Thanks and God Bless!

Where my donation went?
Alumni Association donated P80,000 pesos ($2,000) state-of-the-art
PA announcing system just after the reunion replacing
the aging system the school have for
years. Because of your donations and contributions,
students and faculties will get the benefit
of their new system for many years.
And so, your donation money will always be
heard by every students and faculties alike and
around Matain community every time an announcement is aired coming
from this system.
This is just one of the projects our Alumni Association is
doing with our Alma Mater.
Several plans and ideas are still in the drawing board as we
speak.
